# Configuration options of screens

| Setting             | Description                                                                                                |
| ------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Name                | The internal name for you to recognise the screen, e.g. `1st Floor`                                        |
| Title               | The title to show on the screen. Will be used for `<title>` tag and as a header when no image/logo is set. |
| Time frame          | The time frame to display                                                                                  |
| Resources           | The suites, staff and/or resources to display                                                              |
| Automatic scrolling | Activate to make the screen automatically scroll the viewport.                                             |
| Refresh rate        | How often the screen should refresh the displayed content, e.g. every 5 minutes.                           |
| Status              | Mark screen as active or disable it (making it inaccessible)                                               |

When editing a screen, scroll to the bottom and open the "Detailed display settings".

Upload an image or logo. It will be displayed on the top of the screen.

When editing a screen, scroll to the bottom and open the "Detailed display settings".

You may set the background colour, text colour as well as the background colour of the message box.

| Color              | Default value     |
| ------------------ | ----------------- |
| Background         | `#333333` (gray)  |
| Text               | `#ffffff` (white) |
| Message background | `#ff0000` (red)   |

tip

We recommend using a bright text colour on a dark background. This will reduce power consumption of your screen while enhancing legibility.
